This is a kit that I started a good 6 years ago, and that I'm going to try to complete in 2004..
It's the 1/100 VEB/Plasticard kit (which explains why it has taken me soooo long to get so far..!)
The kit is the 'normal' passenger plane, but I wanted a colourful livery and went for a cargo plane operated by ITA of Brazil. I had to close the fuselage windows, and open up some crew and cargo doors. It's hidden here by masking material, but the inside is detailed. On the other side of the fuselage, another cargo door is open too. One engine will be left off, place on the ground while mechanics will be working on engine no.2 (the central unit).
The kit is quite horrid, with a very tough but brittle plastic. Tons of rivets heads 'decorated the kit parts and had to be sanded down... The wings are about 75% done, with all slats and flaps re-built (the kit wings did not have any spare flaps) and soon to be glued into place..
