My cutaway drawing shows the "can" aft of the rear crew door against the tail wheel bulkhead on the right side of the aircraft.

Clear Left!

I think it was near the aft bulkhead near the beginning of the tail.. Check the July(?) issue of FSM where they demonstrate how to convert a B17 into a gunship.. In the picture of the fuselage prior to glueing together they show where the little pilots room is.

I've been inside the B17s that have been here for airshows and I didn't see any toilet. CAF folks may not install them. The toilet may have only been installed on fairying flights, and it would more than likely be in the aft waist compartment.

hey there all,

i was looking through my handy dandy walkaround book and it showed a picture of a toilet on a B-17. Amongst the many questions i have is this....

where is it located. I was actually considering puting it in the inside of the one im working on now, but the book didnt give an exact location, and i dont recall seeing any pics online.

thanks all
