locoisfubar hi,Smile [:)]
i've got the tamiya 1/48 and i reckon you can't really go wrong with either this or the hasegawa offerings; unfortuantely i don't know anything about the likes of trumpeter - supposedly v good in 1/32...

If you're going to go the 1/32 route go Trumpeter. Black Box has an after market kit available for the Trumpeter F4U-1D but I'm told the Verlinden kit works as well. I don't know of any after market available for the F4U-4 yet. I'm sure there are projects in the works right now.

i've heard good things about the trumpeter kit and I'd go with it. The only other offering in 1/32 is from Revell and the kit is old and requires a lot of work to get a good result. The money might be a problem for some but considering I spent twenty on the revell kit, and some $55 on after market parts the prices are nearly the same.

I built the old Revell kit. I'd go with the Trumpeter kit. It builds up quite nicely.
