Vark question
Posted by upnorth on Sunday, January 4, 2004 4:44 PM
I've got a 1/72 F-111G on the go and I've run into a bit of a problem in painting it.

The area right behind the wing, where the wing pivots into on the fuselage, what colour should it be. I'm assuming the material is rubber or some other elastic material.

The instructions say paint it Kahki, but I'm not entirely convinced thats right.

Anybody know for certain.

Thanks in advance

I don't know about the "G" but pictures I have of a FB-111E show it to be the same color of the "camo" for that section of the aircraft. Another shot in a Detail & Scale of a "D" shows it to be a dirty khaki color. I think it is a rubberized canvas material.
