Well, here's the old "Bavaria" F-104G chestnut in 1/72. Quite a nice kit to put together, with the exception of the intakes, which were a pig to blend in with the fuselage and in the right (or wrong!) light I can see where the filler hasn't been sanded down quite enough.

It's an OOB build, with the exception of some foil seat straps to flesh out the cockpit and "gizmos" added to each side of the HUD which were on my German F104G cockpit source pic.
This was the first crack at using an airbrush, for the gray/green camo pattern - the remainder was brushed. The decals were pretty good, except for the large ones on the tail, which went a bit squirrely

As it's 1/72 and an exhibition scheme, I decided to hold back on any washes, weathering etc. The couple of pics I found of a squeaky clean museum German "G" in the same grey/green show that the panels are quite difficult to see from any distance. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

. It's certainly a pretty addition to the line-up on the shelf.
