hasegawa missing parts

I could do it, but it might end up being pricey for the guys overseas.

Here is an example what I paid for the FW24 parts:
Sending letter: 80 Yen
Addressed return envelope: 80 yen
Parts: 380 Yen (1 runner)
Money transfer fee: 70 yen
Total: 610 Yen (USD 5.00)

The Kit costs me: 2610 Yen.

Add to that shipping to the states(Air-Mail or similar).

Here's a thought. I have had very good results getting replacement parts from Revell-Monogram and AMT/ERTL. As a matter of fact, I had purchased an AD-4W by AMT/ERTL and the sprue with the radome wasn't in the box. I called and told them the part numbers from the instructions and they told me they would take care of it right away. About a week later I came home from work and there was a card from the "Big Brown Truck" driver. So the next day I went to there facility and picked up my box. It seemed awful large for such a small sprue. When I opened it, it was a complete kit!!!
I called to ask if they wanted the other kit returned to the address on the shipping box and they told me no. They screwed up and they wanted a happy customer.
You have had good results from Hasegawa and possibly Tamiya.
Why not find someone such as myself or one of the others to try to get replacement parts for the American made kits that you might need and vice versa?
Just reimburse cost of shipping!

Dragon is the distributor in the States and emailing them is a waste of time. Calling isn't much better but they're trying.

Hasegawa rocks in customer service here in Japan. A while back I loused up the paint job on a VW Beetle I was building for my girlfriend's dad (he drove one back in the 70's), and when I asked about buying a new body, they said just pay for the shipping and we'll send you a new one for free. Nice!

Who distributes Hasegawa now in the States? It used to be Marco Polo, but I believe that changed a while ago. Find out who the current distributor is and ask them about replacement parts.

I didnt have as much luck as Charles. Ive been trying to get a turret canopy for my 1/72 B-25 for about 3 months now. They finally responded about 2 months after I emailed them numerous times. Said they would send the part. Now its been at least a month, and Im still waiting.

I've been trying to get a replacement part for a hasegawa tomcat for about two months but I've made some progress. Call Dragon USA at 626 968 0322 and give them the kit number and part number. They'll charge a shipping fee but eventually you'll get the part. (They sent mine to the wrong guy and then the post office crushed it so they are still working on getting the windscreen part for me) They are slow but they're trying.

Hasegawa has replaced broken parts for me on more than one occassion. They were plenty "user-friendly" for me. Free parts + free shipping.

I have never ordered replacement parts from Hasegawa, never needed too.

I know that they like most manufacturers will ship replacements within their own country.
Ever tried getting any spare parts for non-japanese kits over here?? No dice, no matter to whom you turn.

Also try Rainbow 10, they might also be able to help as both R10 & HLJ are situated in japan.

If your building the Stuka- check out Monogram-Revel. They re-box the same kit (I don't know about version) in their ProModeler line. Monogram-Revell is very good about replacing parts

I dont know if they can get you parts but they have a lot of hasegawa´s products, since thei are seeded in Japan wouldn´t hurt trying:

hasegawa is not as user friendly as tamiya or most manufacturers for that matter. i think you're sol on "replacement parts" from them or their distributors. which kit are we talking about? maybe i can hook you up. i've got a couple of 87s that i'll probably never get to.
