Great job.  Looks more like a 1/72 scale model.  Nice work.

Manstein's revenge

I'm guessing your photography skills don't do your build justice...focus, focus, focus...

As I said, this was a cel phone camera. It won't focus up close. I have my old 35mm SLR stashed away, perhaps I shall dig it out and shoot it and some of my other builds, but that involves taking film to the lab and having them put it on a disc, etc.....

Now that I look at these photos, I realize I forgot to add the colored marker lights to the wing tip areas.....back to the work bench it is! I'll do another photo when I really get it done!!!!!!

Here are the photos as I promised-excuse the quality, as I mentioned before, the only workable camera I have (digital) is my phone. As you can tell, close-up is not it's strong point. This is evidenced by the fact that some of the background is in better focus than the subject.

I added the drop tanks, though they are seldom seen in photographs, I just liked the way they look. I wish I had maybe left the weapons bays closed as the doors are overscale and thick because of the small scale involved. Makes it look a bit busy. Maybe just left the Sidewinder bays open.

I used the painting guide from my Revell of Germany kit and masked and painted all the various panels that would have been colored by a decal on the larger kit, matching colors to the decals. The camo was done by copying the instructions of the larger kit to scale and the cutting out masks from them. I had to adjust and accommodate when I was trying to copy from the flat diagram onto rounded surfaces, such as the radome area.

I was going to take pictures outside but it was a bit windy today, so I opted to take advantage of the sun streaming in through my front door window.

I just finished my 1/144th scale Raptor and I probably spent as much time on it as I do one of my larger 1/72nd kits. I will get a few photos up in a day or two, but for now it has been a long day with much yard work at mum's today! I just wanted to proclaim to the universe my accomplishment as this is one of the few kits recently that I can say is 100% done! Done and done! Yeh for me!

I will update as soon as time permits!----Updated!!!!! Se below!
