Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Thanks guys!

Allan, I put my model on a display base then put the base on top of a box which was on my workbench. This then gives you a camera angle where in 1/48 you're just below eye level. Add a neutral background then aim the camera as if your looking up at the model. It took me a few shots to get it right, but it was certainly worth it. The model looks a lot better here than it does on my display shelf!Blush [:I]Big Smile [:D]

Pix, I think the pilot was saying "why can't I wear my headgear like the other guys? I had to explain to him: "That's Hasagawa for you!"Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

Once again, many thanks for your comments everyone. I really do appreciate it.Smile [:)]

Great job, allan ! Excellent finish & decals ! I also like the angle from which you took the photo. Adds a lot of "action" to the shot. I suggest that the pilot is hailing you for a great build !

I love the way the shot was taken. I feel like Im turning the dials on the catapult. Been wanting to take such pics with such an angle. Thanks for sharing!

I can almost hear the opening music to Topgun playing! maybe you should add some cheezy cinematic effect by having dry ice smoke cover some of the wheels, etc! hehehe... Seriously, though, that's a great looking scooter! and he's pulling iron hand duty too!

Thanks for you kind words guys! Chopperfan is right, those figures do come from the set he mentioned and they do come that way. I did play around with the landing officer to make his pose a little more natural, buit theres not a lot of scope for modifying these figures. Still, they are okay and a lot cheaper than the verlinden set.

Ah! VA-22, Fighting Redcocks from Lemoore NAS!!!
My bestest fishing bud from California was a crew chief on VA-22's A-7Es while sitting off the shores of South Vietnam.
Good looking bird, Tango.
Obiwan. The figures look like the Hasegawa Navy Pilot and Crew set. If they are, they come that way. Have to be assembled, but they are pretty nice. Thumbs Up [tup]

Smile [:)]Hi all,

I would like to present an image of the model to you all, however a year on and I still have'nt got the hang of posting images on hereBlush [:I]. (Yes I know, I'm not very bright when it comes to computers.)

Anyway, It's the Hasagawa 1/48 A-4F done in USN markings and you can find it here http://rongeorge.com/modules/Gallery/upload/DSCF0017

It's a lovely kit to build and it's packed with lots of fine details. The decals were a joy to work with as well. I'm definately going to build some more of these in the future. The figures come from Hasagawa too. There're not great and I'm no figure painter but I enjoyed putting them together with the finished model as It certainly makes it more interesting to look at.(IMHO)

Hope you guys like it!Smile [:)]
