Is the revellogram Ju-88C a decent kit?
Posted by tempestjohnny on Saturday, January 10, 2004 11:30 PM
I have a chance to get a pro modeller Ju-88C-6 at a very good price. Has anyone had any experience with this kit.

Also how are the ICM Spitfire kits.

Thanks for any info

Its an ex DML/Dragon kit. It has nice detail on the landing gear & engine fronts. There are no alignment pins on the fuselage. There are separate wingtips which are best glued to the top & bottom wing first, then trap the aileron between when you assemble the wing halves. The cockpit requires dry fitting, but looks nice. The Eduard PE set for the Ju 88 is a great addition. Fitting the wings to the fuselage requires some work. You also need to enlarge the holes in the fuselage to accept the tailplanes. I like the kit, and if you're familiar with DML/Dragon releases, a little extra work can result in a nice model.

I'm not a Spitfire fan, so I can't be of help there.

Hope this helps.

the ICM spits are apparently the best in the market.
they come with an engine ,different wing tips a few decal options
and if I'm not wrong gunbay detail.
also they are more accurate than the tamiya offering as the
tamiya one has squashed wheel wells.

I dont have one myself ,I ve only been shown one in a hobby shop
so please try to confirm this infomation.

best of luck

It is just like pixilater said the Ju -88 is the old dragon kit it is a good one
just mind the things he said and all will be well.
In regard of the Spitfire from icm dimensionaly it is the best kit around. There are however a few things to watch for. Firts the wheels aren't useable(heavy sinkmarks)so replace these with aftermarket items. There are also a few sinkholes on the outside but nothing what a little bit putty won't cure.
As I understand ICM ceased trading September last year so if you want one and don't have them yet.Get e'm while they last.
