Mig 25 re-issued.
Just when I thought I was going to quit buying and build more for a while, (at least I had my wife convinced of that), What does Revell do?
They re-pop the 1/48 scale Foxbat. I've wanted one for a long time. I've never built it before. The parts are crisp, and clean with no flash in my kit, and it has the 4 Acrid air to air missiles. Cockpit detail is average for a kit of the $20 price range, I wish Eduard would, and very quickly, poop a detail set for it. Here is a link to a review of an orignial release from many moons ago: http://modelingmadness.com/reviews/mod/solomig25.htm
This release includes decals for the Indian air force in an overall grey scheme,
and multi-color camo Russian markings
OK, my order of building just got shuffled. With rare exception I always build in 1/48. Here is the new order: I have to finish my R-M Phantom for the GB after I heal from surgery, then build my R-M F-15 C Eagle, check for Mig 25 detail set, Finish my Revell B-25 J, check for Mig-25 detail set, then build my R-M F-18 E Super Hornet, while in the middle somewhere I finish my Accurate Miniatures Airacobra in Soviet markings, check for Mig-25 detail set, and by that time stress relief paint brush challenge GB my Revell Dauntless, check for Mig-25 detail set, build my Tamiya F-51 Korean era Mustang, Check for Mig-25 detail set. If no detail set by that time I will go ahead and build it anyways. Then I can deviate from 1/48 scale and build my Academy 1/144 Phantom E, 1/144 Tomcat A, 1/144 Eagle D, Minicraft 1/144 Tornado GR1B (sweet kit), Minicraft 1/144 USPS Boeing 727-200,
And by this time I'll be ready for another paint brush challenge and I have Revell Germany's 1/72 B-17F for this. Rough old kit but she's got potential. And I'll be working in Revell Germany/Italeri's 1/720 Ronald Reagan carrier in here and there with additional aircraft sets from Trumpeter. In that small scale, the difference in size is negligible between 1/700 and 1/720.
And of course there's always close to 100 auto kits too. It will be quite a while before I do any of them except the Testor's/ J. Lloyd/Lindberg 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona RT. Of course, the above order can change at any time, as I have three 1/32 scale Corsairs-two 21st Century Toys and one Revell original issue Baa Baa Black Sheep TV Pappy Boyington Lulubelle photo-op plane, and a 1/32 scale 21st Century Toys Zero.
Thanks for allowing me to ramble, I'm just truly bored.
