Looks great!  Were the big-gunned versions of the B-25 really used in Europe?  I thought they were only in the Pacific.

I especially LOVE the detail in the waterfall.....

I think it's a great dio as well.  I like the weathering job on the plane and, as for the groundwork and buildings, it really is top notch.

I'm sorry.   I don't like to rain on anyone's parade but I can't help for my first thoughts to be:  "If the plane was shot up and came skidding to a halt in this way, where are the skid marks on the ground?  The earth and vegetation leading up to the plane appear to be intact.  Is there supposed to be damage to the nearby building from the wing being sheared off?  Where's the rest of the rubble and debris from the plane?  The port prop is damaged from the impact yet the starboard prop appears to be utterly undamaged."

Just my ponderings...

Fair questions, Eric, and no need to apologize, that's good constructive criticism, delivered professionally and collegially, very good observations.

It is a pretty cool dio, though.  I may have missed this, but is this 1/48 scale, or 1/32, Herr Feldmarschall?  From the figures, and your title, I figured it's the larger scale, which makes it an impressive work indeed.

Best regards,

Brad

Thank you Brad.

I went back and read my comments.  Some things I left out were other observations such as:  If I could build my B-25s to look as good as this one (paint job, weathering, etc) then I could quit my day job!  It is simply a great finish!  Also, I do love the figures.  My figures look great if you're about 12 feet away and facing the other way while the ones in the dio, well, I can only dream of doing figures this well.  Maybe when I'm 90 they'll be half as good but somehow I doubt it.  I can still dream though.

1/35th figs and a 1/32 scale vacuformed kit...Lewis is much more of a builder than a historian and all of the criticisms on the markings and model of the B-25 are valid ones...this was a commission build for a client who was specific about what he wanted and the customer is always right!

LOL!  'Nuf said.  As someone who worked retail as my first job out of high school, I quickly learned that this is always the case.
