Thanks guys!  Vance that actually got a lol out of me!

I thin my Mr S with GS Mr Thinner- what else?   I cropped the bottle top in that first pic- whoops!   I did have a time getting it to spray- I'll have to check into some laquer-friendly retarder.   You may ntice some graininess on the port bulkhead- I should have rubbed that down with some 1200 grit!  That seats will hide it- so no big wuh.

Again- my thanks!

Thanks, guys!

This post is dedicated to the  memory of Tom Wesendorf- he will be missed!

The best laid plans and all that!  I had this update ready on Monday, the 4th of July, but technical issues have delayed it until now.  I'm up and running on a somewhat shaky basis, but let's get on with the show- and seal up that fuselage at long last!

Chuck I'm awestruck by your modelling & cartooning prowess. This is the first of your builds I have read right thru since I joined this forum & I just love it, & your wee "Liebchens" they make it so much fun. I am following keenly.

It's been a really hard week- but modeling has helped me keep my sanity in the face of losing our dear dog unexpectedly. Thanks to those who have offered their support it means so much to my wife and I!

So sorry to hear of your family loss.  The critter kids are almost always as dear to us as our own kids.  I have lost a couple and have an Aussie Sheppard that came to me as a stray puppy. He is even more dear to me than any other I can remember.  Won't know how to deal with losing him when the time comes.

As to the modeling, your build is really helping me as I am in the beginning build of a WW1 Hannover kit that is about like a rough resin kit.  Am building the upper wing from scratch as it was toast and your tips and ways of doing things have made the job quite a bit easier and much better than the original ever thought of being!

So sorry to hear of the loss of your family member.  We just lost one in February.

OLD DOGS DO NOT DIE

We have a secret you and I,
That no one else shall know.
For who, but I can see you lie,
Each night, in fireglow?
And who but I can reach my hand
Before we go to bed,
And feel the living warmth of you
And touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths,
and see ahead of me,
Your small form racing with the wind,
So young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim
In every brook I pass.
And when I call, no one but I
Can see the bending grass.

bsyamato-  so sorry to hear that!  Our dear little friends are such immense parts of our lives!

Heaven's Eagle-  Tough kits need extra love!  Mine isn't so bad- but I just can't leave well enough alone. ;)  Are you posting pics somewhere?  I love to see.

Buckeye, that's a beauty- haven't read it before.  Dyna never bent any grass, but she did a numer on the couch cushions!

Well, I'm still sick at home, so I'm putting the time to good use and you;re all getting yet another update- here we go!

Chuck the 388 is looking very good!

I am posting photos of the Hanover build on the Great War Group Build. Will be adding a big post either today or in the next couple of days.  So far the new wing is hugely better than the old one ever thought of being, which means the rest  of the kit is going to need a LOT of massage.

Here is the link to where my build posts start, also some photos of the bench I just finished rebuilding.

Hy Chuck, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dog.

As to the build, it is once again a extremely informative, fun and high quality build. Really in a league of its own.

Thanks, guys!

bsyamato- Zahn looks like he was such a sweetheart!   I'm sure everyone loved him.

HE- Indeed, your Hanover is really amazing!  I'm very much enjoying your progress- cheers!

Thanks, Jim- she was a wonderful little creature.

Borg, thanks to you, too- and thanks for the comments on the 388!

Now, I didn't get in a lick of modeling last weekend, partly because we were busy meeting - her!

We will pick up this 8-week-old bulldog pup this Saturady- can't wait!  We know she will not replace our Dyna, but will have a voice all her own.   Of course, I'll be posting more pics- and soon!

Chuk,  Awesome!  Yep, when you loose one, it tears your heart out.  And when you 'replace' one, they're never a direct replacement, but find a place in your heart with their own quirks.  I'm Daddydog to 4, three of them rescues, and all 4 with their own wonderful personalities.  The plastic can wait, the pup needs attention.

Thanks ChukW for the cudos.  Been working and not posting for a while so am making up time on the posting.  Just did another small post on the Hannover tonight with a preview. Big Smile

Your new puppy girl looks so cute!  While she won't be like Dyna, she will have her ways that will endear you all to her.

I do so enjoy the posts you make on your builds.  You are partly responsible for my resumption of modeling after many years and definitely the reason that I am making the involved detailed posts that I do.  I wish I had a little of your artistry with the characters you draw.  They add so much to your posts.  I am still developing my style and have a ways to go.  Your old Me 410 build, the Well, and this one have been a great inspiration!

Many Thanks!

Thanks, guys!  We've had little Andi (Andromeda) for two weeks now, and she's just a darlin'!  Despite the new puppy's best efforts, I have gotten back to this poor, neglected birdie- and am moving forward!
