Combat Models, which is now now owned by Roberts Models, has a 1/24th P-51B. (read:
VAC which = YUCK!
)
I joke about vacs, 'cuz they're all ugly no matter how 'nice' they look, but here's a guy who's adventurous enough to tackle them; in this case he's doing a 24th P-51B:
1/24th Combat P-51B by Gil Hodges
As to a decal company releasing a sheet for a kit that doesn't exist... Microscale used to do that from time to time. Lately most decal manufacturers do make markings for
specific kits; that is, they're actually fitted to a particular kit even though they'll most likely be okay for other kits.
If someone
was to make an injection-molded 24th Baker Stang, I'd agree with unnamed and put my money on Trumpeter.
