C-5 Galaxy

Only one I heard of was a vac-form kit that appeared in an FSM article years ago. Someone else I'm sure will remember long before I can check my back issues.

I think the name of the company was Delta, possibly referred to by some as Delvac? Or are they two different companies? I dunno fersher, I'm not into vacs, myself...

Be nice if someone did an injection-molded Galaxy in 72nd. HEY! Maybe Panda will add it to ther 1/32 line!!

i want one too please. paul boyer has one he built that he was showing in fsm. i believe it was delta. i saw a web site (can't remember which one) that a modeller i think female did a double kinda like a f-82 out of 2 c-5 galaxy's. that was an impressive kit. i'll look to see if i can find it. if you find the company post it on here so i can get me one too. thanks in advance.

Please GOD no! Don't release the c-5 in a larger scale!! Micro-scale needs all the "exclusives" it can get!

I don't know if a 32nd C-5 box would fit through my door... let alone the completed model.

The C-5 vacuform in 1/72 was originally done by ID Models. Delta reissued the kit under their Delvac label. They also have Delta Decals and I think the host company is Delta Aviation Publishing. Can't find a web site for any of them though. The data I have is from Scale Aviation Modeler International, Jan 2001 so no idea what the availability of this kit is.
Paul built the original ID models kit (remember that from the article). I have one of the old Otaki kits in 1/44. Want to open it up and put some interior in it, maybe a few Chinooks or Apaches for a payload. Might give me a shot at that 1/144 category

If I remember Paul Boyer's article it took almost 5 ounces of gap filling super glue to make that ID kit. THe finished model weighs about 4 pounds, has a 3 foot wingspan and is about 30 inches long. This 72nd scale. Any bigger you would need a warehouse to hold it. JOHN

A nice 1/144 C-5 would be more than sufficient!
