Pictures from the NAS P'cola museum

Here you go folks, I took these a while back when I was stationed there, but I've been having problems with my webserver.

If you ever get a chance to make it out to the museum there, I highly recommend it. It's probably one of the best repositories of US Naval aircraft ever. Enjoy.

I second him. This is a great museum if you are a naval aircraft fan or just like planes. They have planes that I have only seen pictures of (or models of). Now, if I can just get to Wright Pat...

Wright-Pat. is a really great museum! They have just opened a whole new hangar there last July. It's totally dedicated to the cold-war, when I was there right before it opened we were allowed to walk over and look in... that B-36 is just amazing! I'll be going back in the next couple of weekends I'll try to get some pictures. (Try to do half as good a job as you guys!) As for Pensacola, I sure do hope that they can still get this forum meet together! Has anybody heard if they're making progress on it?

i live only 80 miles from that museum, i made 2 visits last year. you need about 3 good days to absorb all the history, artwork, and aircraft! awesome museum. excellent pictures as well. later.

It is an Interstate TDR drone developed for the Navy during WWII.
You can read an article on scratchbuilding it and a couple other varients over on Hyperscale

Actually jimz66 I thought the picture you was wondering about looked to me more like a Martin AM-1 Mauler. But then again I have been wrong before.

The pic that came up when I clicked on the link looked nothing like the kit that was pictured on the site for the drone.
It does appear to be an AM-1 Mauler.
