You know, you are dead right. I took out my accurate avenger which is 1/3 assembled and put it right back in the box. Funny thing is, I have followed instructions and the dam thing still don't fit together. I am so pissed off about it. I get so irritated, the more complicated interiors are, the less likely they are going to fit the fuselage halves together. There is a direct relationship, more stuff inside, wider the gap. Take it to the bank!!!
