Here are some photos of F-104's with the white wings and Air Force T.O. 1-1-4, exterior finishes on aircraft specifies FS 17875 insignia white for the upper portions of the wings only. I got this wrong on mine, I painted the entire wing white. Suppose I should LOOK at some of the reference I have every once in a while. Hope this helps.

I am not an expert on the F-104, but I did some reference research a while back when I was building a 1/48 Hasegawa kit of this aircraft. I concluded that at least many of the F-104s' had gloss white wings, but if you can, always best to research the actual AC you want to model.

Can anyone confirm if the F-104C in natural metal has white for the top of the wings. I have see it referenced in several on-line sites but can't find any pictures to confirm.
