1/24 BF109 G-2 Seat Belts

Can anyone give me a reference or site where I can see the scale for the seat belts.

Down here in South Africa there are no metal parts for that scale so I will have to scratchbuilt them.

Need sizing though.

Thaks.

Rudie,

I have a set of Eduard German seat belts in 1/32 scale. They measure .07 inches wide, which, when multiplied times the scale of 32, comes out to 2.25, or 2 and 1/4 inches, which equates out to about the actual dimension based on the aircraft I've worked on.

If you scale 2.25 inches in 1:1 scale down to 1/24, you get 3/32, so your belts should be 3/32 wide. You can go to the Eduard site and look at their scan of their fret to get an idea what the buckles look like, etc. Otherwise, let me know and I'll send you a scan of my fret.

Jeff thank you very much for that info.
It is realy appreciated.

When you say 3/32, what does that mean, in South Africa we talk cm or mm.

Also in which category does the BF109 G-2 fall.
Seatbelts Luftwaffe WW.II
Seatbelts RAF W.W.II type 1
Seatbelts RAF W.W.II type 2
Seatbelts RAF WW.II

Will you please forward me a scan from your fret, much appreciated.

My email is rudie@techconcepts.co.za

Again, thank you very much.

I'll convert it into Millimeters for you when I get home this evening, along with a scan of the fret. Your G2 falls under the Luftwaffe WWII category.

If my maths does not let me down I think it must be 2.38 mm.
