Let's show them with a tank killer/wild weasel group build!

Airplanes like the A-10, Hs-129, P-47...

In my opinion, "more," or "bigger" does not equate as "better." Seems like they want a "pi**ing contest."
We're all modelers here. Seems like someone is feeling threatened by quantity. I don't build to have "more" or "better" than the other guy. I build because I enjoy it.

Let them pee all by themselves.

It's actually a pretty interesting idea, armor builds anti-aircraft, at the same time, aircraft builds anti-armor. Kind of like an intramural comp.

Face it guys, all modelers are weird, so weird in fact, that I actually wrote something about it...take a look...

This should get every riled up... :-) Just remember, it was written in good fun.

I think what would be really interesting is a "aircraft modelers building a tank Group Build" and a "AFV modelers building an airplane Group Build"...

Why do I feel so "categorized" reading all this?

Now I'm just gonna hafta build Billiken's new "Destroy All Monsters" version vinyl Godzilla kit and stomp and swat all the armor, aircraft, AND ships!
Cars, too!
Oh yeah, trains, too! Wait, we don't do trains at FSM...

Can't be any different from me (a diehard ship/sci-fi modeler) being knee deep into the Sherman group build. And the Trumpy 1/32 F4F-4 Wildcat I just started.

armor never appealed to me. to be honest the few armor kits i have built i had more trouble with than my worst a/c build. not sure why. a good friend builds armor and is excellent at it. i think i will stick with my ww2 a/c.

Actually, I build both aircraft and armor models but haven't touched a tank kit for some time now, same goes for ship models.

As to the friendly rivalry thing, that's something you'll find almost anywhere you go. Although some do take it too seriously.

Our club has the rivalry thing goin' on between the aircraft, target armor and fast target car guys, and it's a helluva blast. Those unitiated to our realm may think that we're really throwing insults back and forth sometimes, but it's just in good fun. Life would be boring without all this frivolity.

Remember, if it ain't got wings, it's a target...

hey Jeff;
do you have any of that cold & cough medication?, cause I need some too I'm building all of the Otaki's Japanese fighters & the 3 US first Frigate sisters (USS Constitution, President & United States) all at the same time so do you really want to get confused? or just get relaxed and I'll go for both for now and need some realigning when finished
Oh, by the way great article

Jeff,
My last 4 builds were........a 1/48 F-4, a 1/700 USS Kitty Hawk, a 1/25 Mazda Miata and a Bandai Enterprise. Where do I fit in your hilarious (and dead on) editorial?

If it only rolls on the ground, it's a target.

Planes appeal more to me because at the end of the day you are mostly trying to bring down another aircraft, and you rarely see the human element. In tanks, it's alot closer to being gory. That's just my feeling though.

Overall, as long as you are enjying the hobby, that's what is most important!
