HS 129, Germany's A-10 Hog?????

I've built the ESCI/AMT HS-129 and it is possible to turn out a nice lookin' bird from that old kit. It just takes a bit more work (and not that much filler either). I entered mine in an Armor Show that had a tank-buster category. I did it for grins basically and what'ya know, entered and placed right beside it was the Hasegawa version (beautifully done by the much-esteemed Milton Bell of Austin, TX) Ouch! That did make mine look pretty shabby !?! Needless to say, Mr. Bell won. But hey, I did take home a couple bronzes for the only two tanks in my collection. As my old Daddy used to say, "Even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then". just my .02, Gary.

Go for the Hasegawa kit, I haven't built it yet but it is a real beaut.

I agree on the old Esci kit. very basic detail, and a bunch of fit problems. Only consider it if you own stock in a company that produces your filler of choice ! I've got one almost done, and there are other kits I'm more interested in at the moment.

i've done the old esci kit and it's pants!! but maybe that is being a bit harsh? just go for the hassy kit, you can't go wrong there!!
re size, it's not that big in 1/48, just a little bigger than a stuka or p-47...

The Hasegawa kit is a beaut, and there are actually several variants available (different gun configurations). Resin pieces are included for the variants.
It's not a small kit at all in 1/48, by the way!

If Hasegawa have got one, just forget the 25 years old Esci kit.. !

go for hasegawa's hs129 in 1/48 scale. It is good kit where there are enough after market sets for available
