I just finished this one... but as promised, here it is. This is my first build posted to FSM and I hope you enjoy the pics.   Please have a look at my website to read a very detailed WIP description and some interesting paint techniques I used to capture the essence of Nishizawa's aircraft.

Comments welcome, and thanks for looking.  Cheers!

Great looking Zero Mark! Beer  Nice work on the paint job, I like the weathering effect.  I assume those were painted-on meatballs correct?  VERY crisp canopy frame.

Thanks for the comments!  You bet... the insignias were painted on (and I almost ruined the model while doing it!)  Have a look at my website... there is a very detailed description of the trials and tribulations of painting and finishing this model.  Cheers!

Sweet.  Mark, I read your bio on your blog.  What did you fly in the military?

Satch, I was a very fortunate Army aviator.. Started my career flying the OH-58 Kiowa for the Air Cav and was selected to fixed wing early in my career.  Flew multi-engine reconnaissance (RC-12 and RC-7B) and finished up in jets at Andrews AFB flying the Gulfstream GV and 550.  Thanks for looking at the site. Cheers!
