Finally back after a computer crash...
Posted by Jeff Herne on Saturday, January 31, 2004 10:19 PM
Argh...that best sums it up...

My computer crashed about 4 days ago...I think the motherboard finally caved in, so I managed to put together another machine from parts...and yipee, it runs better than the old one did!!

I did manage to backup my photos of models, family, etc., so it's not a total loss. I did lose my address book, so if I don't email you, you know why.

Talk about FSM forum withdrawal...sheesh...was so busy working on the computer that I haven't touched the Spitfires, but...now it's back to plastic-land.

Jeff,

Glad to have you back. I have built a few myself and I know what it can be like when you have problems with hardware. Wink [;)]

Glad to have you back. My system picked up a Hijack Bug last week. I didn't have time to work on it because of my granddaughter being back in the hospital. I was able to get it repaired near the end of the week. No damage to my system, just not being able to open IE because of the bug.

In some way or another, I think we can all feel your pain. But it's glad to hear you are back and things are better than before!

Good for you , Jeff! I'm having problems with my PC too, but it's a software bug and i can't isolate it!

My computer does one of two things given enough time: 1. It tells me that the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly and it needs to restart. or 2. the screen suddenly develops red lines up and down the monitor for several seconds before crashing... i can only get one or two posts in before it does this... has this happened to any one before or am i just unlucky? Grrrr....

P.S. Angry [:(!] those redlines appeared right after i posted this reply... man, that's annoying!!!
