You're right, the aircrafts did start out as Schweizer gliders. Lockheed had taken over the program and in some instances it was still refered to as Schweizer/Lockheed. Its kind of like calling an F-15, a Boeing F-15 Eagle, I hate that.

eagle334, I have just one correction for this thread. That started life as a Schweizer 232 glider. I described it to a co-worker today and he confirmed my suspecions about the craft. I work there by the way (Schweizer's) Cool quiz!!!

Well, well, well.... This quiz got me, I think. Despite all my researches, I've just come up with almost nothing... Just 'glimpses' of an answer, nothing more! I'll try, but I won't hold my breath...

It's an Iraqi Navy long range Intercontinental bomber. Part of the imminent threat to our nation that Bush was telling us about.

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger

I understand those things were very, very quiet in flight. The first picture I ever saw of it was in the possesion of a friend of my then boss. He was part of the unit that conducted operational tests on this and its successor. Told us that at night, if it crossed your position at an altitude of 100 ft agl or higher, you just didn't hear it. And if it was any lower than that you only heard a slight whisper of sound.

Hey, Eagle. Can you supply an email link? I think I know what this is. (checked at SHF-no link there, either) Maybe you're not expecting any answers?
