Not all his work is warbirds, but his art is Very Nice!

BTW. When was the last time you saw a painting of a Tank? Just one more reason to LOVE airplanes!

Beautiful Art, thanks for the link!

Robert Taylor's Art is a different *Style* of Art. Personally, I think Andy does a phenomenal job creating Airbrush Scenario's, the best I've seen, honestly! Give Taylor an airbrush, and he'd look about as ridiculous as Tiger Woods with a Hockey Stick!

There are MANY Artist who are as good, if not better than Taylor, when it comes to painting Aviation subject matter, especially those outside the realm of WWII. (yeah, they do exist)

BTW: StrikeEagle.... ever heard of Wilson Phillips?

I agree. Andy is unsurpassed for his style of illustration, but art is subjective and everyone has their own opinions. I think Dru Blair is among the best in the world for photo realism.

By the way, I emailed Andy and asked if I could use his artwork if someone wanted one of his pictures airbrushed on a T-shirt. I haven't heard back from him yet.
I think it would be difficult anyhow trying to paint that much detail on a T-shirt.
It can be done but the price I would have to charge would shock the buyer. Big Smile [:D]

Have aviation art hanging all over my hobby room, the Tayor prints are the best! And I do have one tank print 'Wedge of Iron' by Mike Wooton.

Frank,

I have several of William S. (Bill) Phillips prints in my home. In fact, "Thunder in the Canyon" lives over my fireplace. I got a chance to meet him at a sponered art event a few years ago, and found him to be a VERY interesting and real person. One of the few artists I've met who seemed to have no ego at all.

As far as aviation art goes, Phillis and Keith Ferris are two of my personal favorites.

too artsy for me. Looks like they should be on a velvet background. Maybe next to some dogs playin poker or better yet, Elvis in skin tight pants.
