Sussex County Air Show, Sussex Airport, New Jersey, the last weekend in August every year. It goes from decent to great, but there are always warbirds there. Last year they had a Corsair, a sandy, a T-28 and a B-25. They've had B-17s and P-51s, and the Tora group, just not lately.

And don't forget Olde Rhinebeck Aerodrome with their weekly[/i] World War One airshows from June thru October. They're always[/i] spectacular. Hell, any time one of those crates gets airborne it's an accomplishment!! Wink [;)]

The Olympic Flight Museum's "Gathering of Warbirds" is an annual event held in Olympia, WA every June. They have a 2 seater P51 that they give rides in and the Collings Foundation will be there, followed by a stop at Boeing Field in Seattle.

In July the 3rd largest fly-in in the country is held at Arlington Airport north of Seattle.

Seafair is held at the end of August and features the Unlimited Hydroplanes (boats with turbine engines) that fly around Lk Washington at 150 mph+ and the Blue Angels. The Blues are in town the whole week before the race weekend and practice almost daily while here. My house is very near the lake and the Blues usually buzz the place for a few days. Very cool! They also have aerobatic groups, usually an F15 or 16 that does a pretty cool flight display, maybe a WW2 bird or 2, a C17 fly by, Coast Guard rescue demo and a parachute team demonstration (last year it was the USN Seals "Leapfrogs". If you live in or near Seattle and haven't been to a Seafair you are missing out!

The MAPS Museum here in Akron, Oh has announced their air show. It is father's day weekend. Goodyear bit some 4,000 FG Corsairs here during the war, and the show is dedicated to the pilots, mechs and people who built them. They say there will be several Corsairs, including a F2G, and flybys with a B2, F117, and a B52. Hope they all show up.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

The 22-23 of May will be the open house for Dyess AFB. Fighterjets will be there with their MiG 17F. Saw them last year and they put on one heck of a display. And of course there will be B-1Bs' there as well. They open the show with a high speed pass of a B-1 and thats something that isn't to be missed.

If I hear of one more airshow that has more than one airplane, especially WW2, I'm pulling the plug on the whole lot of you Evil [}:)]Grumpy [|(]!! I get so jealous hearing of all the airshows that you guys have and the aircraft that you get to see. We do have a good number of airshows over here, but we just don't have all the aircraft that you guys do. I'd give my left te.... whao, wait, I'm not quite that desperate, yet, to see a B17 or a Lancaster. Maybe oneday when I've made a couple of millions I'll cross the ocean for a couple of shows. Sigh [sigh]Sigh [sigh]

Then there's the Big One: EAA Airventure in Oshkosh July 29-Aug 2. Hey ChrisB, you want more than one? How does 2,500 planes on display grab you (This includes 250+ Warbirds)? And another 10,000 transients on top of that? See y'all there.
