RF-4's B,C, and E
Posted by Awood23 on Friday, February 6, 2004 7:29 AM
Im looking for anyone who knows what it would take to modify a B or E model to to a RF-4C I recently found Hasagawa has the B and E versions in 1/48, something Ive been looking for for years in the C version but have been stuck with a the old/crappy testors kit and Im not even sure its a C version. Also, if anybodys familiar with the two Hasagawa kits what do you think of them? detail good? The Testors kit has an empty nose with clear plastic on the camera lenses so you can see right through !! is this the case with the hasagawa kits? Any info would be greatly appreaciated.... and thanks in advance.

Sit tight my friend something tells me that if they have released these two already they might go all the way and do an RF-4C I hope. And I fully agree on your assesment of the Testors kit. I have a couple of them and they are terrible. Cant wait to get the RF-4B so i can do that nice Marine Corp paint job of the Bicenntennial scheme. I have two sets so I cant wait to paint it that way. NO the second set is not for sale.

Cheers.

I didn't know the RF's had been released yet - and I have just bought 5 Hawks !
All we need now is a Hasegawa RF8P to keep the 4B company and Hase will be my favourite 4ever!

Thanks for the advice Jimz. Im getting ready to PCS to Belgium and can only hope that theres the same accesability to varying types of kits that there is here. If not theres always ebay :)
Oggy- both kits are available from Hasagawa according to www.dragonmodelsusa.com and priced between $30 to $40 last time I checked
