Hey, Murph! I'm working on the Airfix version now. ( very slowly, I might add!) Will let everyone know how it turns out. Once I buy a gallon of "Aluminum Plate" or a 6 pack of rattle cans!

If it's the Trumpeter P-51, read the article in the recent edition of FSM. It has a workbench Review article.

If it's the Airfix kits, you'll need patience, a gallon of filler putty, more patience, a good stress reliever, even more patience, alot of paint and then a hammer to pound the crap out of it cuz no matter how hard you try, you probably won't be very impressed with the end result. For a more spectacular result, get some C-4 or Semtex and blast the heck out of it. As Big Jim McBob (the late great John Candy) says, "That blowed him up, real good!"

I have been modeling primarily 1/48 since i started modeling and have thrown in some 1/72 and a 1/144 ship. Now, I have gotten a 1/24 P-51 for a birthday gift. I have completed the engine, but i'm looking for any and all hints and tips of constructing very large scale kits. Thanx!
