Ah! The Yak-6! I had the ZTS kit when I still built little scale and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately I just don't know much about it...

Anyhoo, I don't think anyone has a detail set for a Yak-6 (or Yak-8), it's not one of the more poular aircraft out there. I could be mistaken, though. There's a Ukranian fella in my club, I'll ask him if he knows what's out there and get back.

Think I have a set of drawing that might help. I'll check and let you know here.

Still looking-found 2,3 and 9. Need someone to host these drawings because I have to hunt for them over several CDs.

To CLAYMORE: Try http://photopile.com/ they offer a free trial for image hosting, only 10 images but I've been able to start a few accounts.

To RAY: I've also done several searches on the web for this bird, a few different search engines and different key words and I've found little of value to the modeler. A bit of historical background and such, which I'm also always looking for...
Anyhoo, have you found any sites that have decent reference and if so could you post some links? I'm also interested in the Yak-6 and look forward to the day when an adventurous manufacturer releases a decent 48th kit! Tongue [:P]

To ZERO: I haven't been able to get hold of my Ukranian pal, he's probably in Cancun, knowing him! LOL Our club meeting is this Monday, so hopefully I'll catch him there.

I searched a couple of hundred websites this morning for the Yak-6.
About all I found was several 1/72 kits with wheels or skis, some three view
drawings, and some plans for a 55in wingspan electric powered RC model.
No interior photos.

There is not much info over the internet. Small tip - do not type "yak-6" in the search engine, because it will search for the pages, tah contain word "yak" and DO NOT contain 6 Wink [;)]
BTW, quite detailed drawings are on the http://aviacherteg.narod.ru website. Direct link is http://www.aviacherteg.narod.ru/avia/Drawings/WWII/WWII_RUS/Yak-6/Yak-6_MK.htm
