Have begun working on the Diver again and was @#%! having to drill out the dive flaps (managed to break two drill bits so far ) when.... I open the FSM "How to Paint and Weather Scale Models #2" and there is an article by John Adelmann on the PM SB2C-4 HD and SHAZAM! he didn't drill those out, looks fine, so enough, back to work.
Ain't that the truth.
Well, not at the RF but not been at the bench either. Life has thrown some curves..... more like knuckle balls at my family and it has been a challenge. I hope to get a little time with the HD soon. Heck, I almost forgot where I'm at with it!
Reasoned Yikes! What are you going to do about it, send us to the Russian Front?

Woo Hoo! Just shows the new SprueBros site is up and working, ordered my SB2C masks (they were out of stock for some time) on Thursday, just got it today! Can resume work on the ugly duck....... well, at least in theory. It is summer afterall and so much to do with extended sunlight.
Ya'll need to do less jaw-flappin' and more pic posting...
Good, 109 's always take precedent.
Mine is almost done. But taking a break since I really need to get my 109 going.
Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler
Wow, so am I the only one still working on this ugly duck?
Hope to have pics of the interior tonight before she's sealed up. This AM/ProMod kit is nicely detailed but the interior fit has been a little tight and somewhat confusing from the directions.
This is the first time I've had the "pleasure" of working with PE. Thought i'd give the tape harness belts with PE buckels and hardware a try, talk about jeweler work! Bet I spent the better part of half an hour trying to thead and glue the belt into place, what a PIA.
Ya'll mugs need to post some pics...
I was gone over the weekend but managed to shoot the interior green. Hope to get the interior built and completed soon.
Im almost done with mine. Just waiting for a day off of work to wrap this one up.
Who is still building? Let's get 'em done!
Manstein's revenge What's all this "flap" about flaps???
What's all this "flap" about flaps???
"Flappers" in this place??
I wonder if all this group build action is causing the parts to be out of stock.. Iearned that some times you have to order the parts when you dont need it. Because when you do they are all gone.
Well I'll tell you about the latest "flap" on this deal. So I decided the canopy looked like an Eduard paint mask was called for, so since SpruBro was sold out, thought I'd give Squadron a try. Ordered it, waited no mask, finally called and "Oh, that's on back order". It would be nice if they (Squadron) would do like Spru and have "real time" inventory control, anywho, that's my rant for the day...... so far.
fermis For the flaps, there is an inner and outer flap. So the portion painted red (in above pic) is the inner set of flaps.

Ahh.... that clears things up. I never heard of an "inner" flap, is that unusual, the SBD doesn't have that?
BTW, thinking of this a/c..... or one like it.
