Hi everyone. Could anybody give me some info about the Sea Fury? ie. interior color, landing gear and gear bay colors, etc.? Thanks in advance, Gary.

FSM had an article a year or two back on the Sea Fury. It was the Hobbycraft 1/48th kit with a lot of OOP after markets. But it also had finishing colors. I can't give the issue off the top of my head.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Well...the example they have here at the Canada Aviation Museum in Ottawa has the cockpit in R.A.F. interior green and the wheel wells and the landing gear doors are silver, much like the Hurricane.

For Royal navy service the cockpit interior should be black, and the gear and wheel wells sky. I built this kit and it is a very good likeness let down by poor detailing, undercarriage and prop. There is a etched brass, white metal and resin set available(or at least there was) from "Flightpath" in Wales. It is expensive but has every detail you could possibly want right down to a stork that "adopted" HMS Ocean and used to perch on the aircraft. There are (deep breath) flaps, wing folds, cannon and cannon bays, undercarriage, prop, underwing stores (including RATOG) full cockpit and even a sten gun as the pilots personal sidearm; not forgetting the stork!
