Be easy on me... just got back into modeling. This is my second attempt at using an airbrush....just put it on freehand.Still have a few more hours to go on this project.

Oil wash in panel lines... and a coat of future with Tamiya flat base mixed 3:1... think I was a little heavy on the flat... maybe should of went 5:1

All I got is the dreaded red x!
Although, I must admit, it is a very good representation of a red x.
Just kidding. Would love to see the Skyraider when you get it fixed.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. " Charles Spurgeon

It's another kit that's on my shelf to build. Looks great to me; paint scheme is great! Makes me want to try an airbrush soon. What were the colors.Bow [bow]

Thanks for the replies.... I used Tamiya...XF-61_Dark Green...XF-52_Flat Earth...XF-65_Field Grey.

Then shot a coat of Future... a Raw Umber oil wash in panel lines. Then a coat of Future and Tamiya Flat Base in a mix of... 3 parts Future to 1 part Tamiya Flat Base. (As Per Swanny's tips )

Next time I may go with a 4 or 5 to one ratio. Came out mighty flat... seems to look ok though.

Maybe I got lucky with this camo job... It was a big improvment over my first model a few weeks ago. It was a Japanese Type 61 Tank.

Thanks, Jim
