Posted by ChrisJH666 on Monday, February 9, 2004 1:59 PM
Ok dumb question time, but if you dont know then u dont know. What's this "Future" stuff you guys keep mentioning, and how do you use it and for what?? Never heard of it before I came in here, though to be fair I've been out of aircraft modelling for a while and am just trying to find my feet again and catch up with the changes

Pick up the latest Fine Scale, it has a great article about it in there.

Thanks for the info guys. thats great. must admit I would never in a million years have thought of using floor polish on a lovingly crafted model....................!

Swanny

I kinda figured you would think it was a great article. Smile [:)] I do have a question for you though, If I decide to thin the future with windex, is the blue tint anything to be concerned about? Especially on a really big white F-4?

The blue tint is nothing to worry about. Future does not really need to be thinned - I have never thinned it in I don't know how many years of using it.

The most I have ever done in doctoring Future is to put a drop or two of dishwashing soap in the bottle to help the solution lay on the model a little flatter. I use a Future soaked Q-tip and rub it on the model.
