Does anybody remember...

The Revell and or Monogram F18 kit in 1/72? that was snap tite? I built one as my first kit and now get to rebuild what's left of it. I was trying to find some pics as a guide to repainting(blue wings, stab., tail, over white, Marine maybe). I'm not sure if the dark blue i used was right to begin with. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks ahead.

thats pretty close. I don't think there was any yellow though and the wings are partially blue too. the blue anti glare and the tan radome are right and it wears the Marines on the side. I got this kit around '90 so it was before then. Thanks for helping. Maybe the kit (or rather the pieces)itself will be a clue numbers or something I'll have to look

cdw,
Know the scheme you are talking about. It was carried by the 3rd prototype. The Hasegawa kit in 1/32 came with those markings as well as the Revell 1/144 kit. The same markings were done in red (for the 2nd prototype I think).
My web search has proved very fruitless. Only thing I could find was this:

Not an actual pic of the plane but maybe someone else will recognise it and provide something better or a scan of the above instruction sheets.
Good luck on your quest.
