No problem! Glad I could help. Not only that but I will keep it in mind for when I get mine ready to paint. I was going to do mine for the 2003 I.P.M.S. Nats that were here in OKC, but just barely got started on it. I was just looking on hyperscale's site reading different articles and when I came to that part I remembered your topic. BTW- I think the black on that would be regular flat black. Are the painting & decaling instructions in that LEM sheet any good? Anyways, you're welcome and good luck with your project!Big Smile [:D]

Here, I found something![:0] I was looking on hyperscale's web site and found this by accident. Go to www.hyperscale.com . Then click on Model Gallery at the top. Next go to Aircraft Feature Articles 2003/04. Scroll down to the article titled F/A-18 Hornet Collection in 1/48 Scale by Thomas Chmelik (Various 1/48) and open it. If you go down almost to the bottom he talks about building the Melennium Hornet and having the same problem with the yellow you did. He was able to find an EXACT color match for it! I hope this will get you on the right track. I would like to see some pics of your finished bird when you get done.

I know the web site says sold out, The LHS said they were out of production. But since several shops have them in stock now, they couldn't be dis-continued.
Anyone have a guess what kind of yellow that is? I don't trust my eyes anymore.
Most of the color chart yellows look gold to me.

LEM's web site is still up, and 48.022 (Melennium Hornet) is still listed. I was looking to see if they ever got to doing that sheet in 1/32. I just found out that Black Box makes a cockpit/ conversion set for the Academy Hornet and the Melennium Hornet in 1/32 would be killer! LEM's web site is: www.lemdecal.com They have some pretty cool stuff.

Yes it is Leading Edge. They make them in 1/48 and 1/72 if you can find them. 48.022 and 72.022 I have one set of each. Currently doing the 1/48. I was told they were out of production, but the local hobby shops mysteriously got some in stock. Unfortunately the sheet only lists the Lt. Ghost Grey FS 36375 and not the other 2 colors.

I thought that it was LEM- Leading Edge Models that did the decals for the Melennium Hornet. I have a Hasegawa CF-188 and the Black Box detail set for it, and was going t do mine as the Melennium Hornet too. Is yours in 1/48?
