It merged with another Japanese airline in 1988 to become the better known and more colorful JAS (Japan Air System). This kit was obviously from the earlier part of the '80s...

Niiiice, Domi!
Looks like the real deal!
I don't know TDA...reading the Kanji on the fusuelage, it says "Toa Kokunai Koku," which translates as "East Asia Domestic Airlines."

Ah, just looked it up! TDA= Toa Domestic Airlines.
Never heard of 'em!
Defunct?

Thanks, Adam, Alex and Darren. The base is just a piece of plastic card, painted over in grey acrylic, enamel white, yellow and black for the lines, and weathered with various shades of pastel dust. Sorry the pic is not any better... I still have that model, somewhere in the loft, but this was an old picture I scanned...

Great looking model! As I'm looking at these, I'm beginning to get more and more envious of you! Thanks for posting the pics I've really enjoyed them.

Darren.

Here's another one for Brian in particular... Another oldie, a kit built in '93, out of the box:

Nice little kit, really! Hasegawa's 1/200 DC-9-40 in TDA markings...
