Another early attempt at proper modeling... This is a N.A. B-25C that I built in 1984.
It's the 1/72 Italeri kit, operating in North Africa... I'm afraid the pic is not the best ever but that's the only one I have of this particular model... That year, I built the B-10, the B-17, the B-24, the B-25, the B-26, the B-29, the B-36, the B-47, the B-52D, the FB-111, and the B-1b... All in 1/72. I also started scratchbuilding a 1/72 XB-70 Valkyrie..! I had the inside of the cockpit all detailled, the wings and the fuselage built, but had troubles getting a putty that would give me a decent looking surface without too much trouble... I eventually gave up... Had I known Milliput then...
This B-25 was donated, along with all the other bombers, to the Brussels Air Museum. It was still exhibited there back in 1998, but I could not see it anymore when I visited again in 2003... Notice the 'see-through' in the nose area.. I never thought about 'blanking out' the inside of the nose (a clear part) with black paint..!
