I am looking to pick up the 1/32 scale version of this one eventually-- always liked the looks of it. Built the 1/48 ICM kit last year......

Wow, thanks for the great links, Mike!
I bought that kit last month, and have been thinking about making it my first aircraft build in about 9 years!

What timing, I have to build an ICM MiG-3 and have it on the table for our show in April and this will help immensely. I've already picked my subject based on a quick look on this page.

I hadn't taken the time to explore the whole VVS site yet and didn't even know this was there, thanks for posting this!

Those are great sites! I have to go back and explore them on my own time (I'm supposed to be doing my morning scan of forum activity right now....Sigh [sigh]). When I first got back into modeling in '94, a co-worker of mine got me hooked on Soviet WWII fighters.

With the long, sleek nose and the cockpit set way back, the MiG-3 has always struck me as looking more like a racing plane than an operational fighter.

You mean you get paid to do what we do for free Wink [;)]

Yup-- up high- she really was a race horse...especially when they put the IL-2 engine into them (I think the variant was called the MiG-3 AM??)-- she is one of my favorites as well. Definitely has to be in the winter camo though-- I hate the black/green scheme for the MiG.

Since it's you Steve I'll make an exception Wink [;)] I just always liked the winter scheme-- the ICM I did was the 02 they talk about on that site....I don't care what they say- I like the red wings LOL
