Hey Dice;
where did you dig those up at, the base is El Jaber AB in Kuwait, and the A-10's are of each unit there during the first days of OIF

72cuda, I have over 2,000 A-10 pics from Kosovo, Bosnia, and OIF. I have to say I'm luck enough to have friends in just about every A-10 unit around the world. I even know a crew dawg from KC who posts on the Warthog Territory under the screen name KCHawg.

Yea I know that's Jabber, been there a few times while stationed at Moody AFB GA. with the A-10s in the mid 90s.

Show me the tanks...He-he-he. Seriously I love that plane. My first A/C model was 1/72 A-10 Warthog I did 10 years ago. I did another one from Academy last year.

Cool pics.

Hey Dice;
if you look under the Idaho's plane you'll see the new asphalt pad laid down just days before the conflict, when I was there back in Aug 02 that was just another big empty, It's amazing that there where over 4k troops at that base built just for appox 1.5k, the old field that behind the main gate to get on the complex just off of the access road had about 2k Marines there in old gp medium tents and 12 per tent and at 112 degrees temp, doesn't that make you want to get back into flight line maintenance on the ole Hawgs again, but this time you get to go in the mud with our armed troopers who are getting paid to get shot at

I know it's changed a lot, the last time I was there was in 1998. I'm pretty much finished playing in the sand I have my last set of orders...I take the uniform off for the last time on 13 May! I've done my part and it's time for the youngin's to take over, of the 5 airframes I've worked 4 of them are in the boneyard now...time to go! Approve [^]

Hey Dice;
You mean your going to give up the good life, and try to make it on your own, I know a USAF Res unit that needs some good help, and if you like the land of the Batwinged wonder then come on down, but if you really want a challenge then try to get on with the unit out of New Orleans, and I know how you feel, all the planes I worked on while on Active are now in AMARTS or sold to a 3rd world country, and the ones from the ANG are now outdated by the newer versions block 50's & now 60's
