It's funny about the Airfix 1/24th decals. I built their 1/24 ME-109 a few yrs back and the decals were pretty good as far has going onto the kit and settling down with Micro Set and Micro Sol but, I had nothing but headaches with the decals for their 1/48 kits, even having Airfix replace the decal sheets didn't help, they would keep peeling off the model.

I dont believe it guy's but the 1/24th Airfix decals actually work on the Trumpeter 1/24th P-51D. A freind of mine gave it a try useing the "Big Beautiful Doll" decals and after some trimming and adjusting here and there they worked! His kit look's awsome and it really dresses up the kit and look's very impressive. "Big Beautiful Doll" has to be one of the most beautiful paint schemes on a Mustang that I've ever saw and it's too bad that the orginal "Doll" never survived the wholesale scrapping at the end of the War in Europe. I know Duxford did thier Mustang with these marking's but you would have thought the original would have been saved. Anyway I'm going to have to try these decals on my Mustang because if my freind could do so can I.Wink [;)]
