Pix, thanks for that, I thought you'd know.

On first viewing the fusalage will need spreaders added, as currently it bows in at the wing roots, and most of the joints look like they could do with re-inforcement!

And there was me hoping for a quick build!

Thanks

Karl

Hey, Karl, it is indeed the ex-DML/Dragon kit. I've only built the DML example, and the kit you have has probably had the PE replaced with plastic.
My suggestion would be to tape the fuselage halves together, then tape the wing tops to the fuselage (on the inside). Then, fit the lower wing & check for alignment. The biggest danger is having to fill a wingroot gap, there is a lot of detail here that could get lost to sanding. If the lower wing aligns alright, I would suggest glueing the wing tops to the completed fuselage first, then adding the lower wing. You may have to leave the fuselage seam under the engine unglued, to allow for alignment.
You can improve the look of the landing gear by lengthening the gear retraction arms. As molded, the gear will appear to be "pinched in." I cut off the part of the retraction arm that attaches to the leg, and replace it with sheet styrene, cut & shaped after it is attached. Do these both together, to assure they are the same length.

In this picture, you can see the uncorrected legs on the top photo, and the corrected ones below.

Good luck on the build, I'd like to see pics when you're done !

I have just bought the above kit, and I mean just bought, having rushed out to my LHS in my lunch hour!

Having looked at the kit, is this another ex-Dragon kit?

If so is there anything I need to look out for?

I guess Pix would be the expert here.

Thanks

Karl
