Funny! I can't help laughing when I read your question about the Mirage 2000 and the Mirage IIIC! (by the way, IIIC in never written 3c)
I suppose it's because you don't have many opportunities to see either of them, but I can assure you there ARE differences!

Eduard are set to release a brand new Mirage III in 1/72...! All other existing plastic kits do need a lot of work to turn them nto a decent replica of the III or V...

Seriously, they are completely different designs, even though they look similar. The engines, wings, vertical stabilizers, etc, are all different. The Mirage IIIC actually had a small rocket motor for short high-speed dashes, whereas the Mirage 2000 just has a big jet with an afterburner (the Mirage IIIC does, also). The avionics and weapons systems are also different between the two.
