P-38 Cockpit detail sets

Two Lockheed P-38L Lightning Cockpits:

Planes of Fame Museum, Chino, California

National Museum of the United States Air Force, Dayton, Ohio.

Thanks for the photos. I'll put on my Optivisor and study them carefully to see how close the True Details " J " resin set comes to the " L " Cockpit. In the meantime if anyone else has used the " J " Detail set for the " L " model I would like to hear from you. Thanks....         Bob

One Lockheed P-38J Lightning Cockpit:

man, I used a detail set on a 1/48 P38 last year and.... with that instrument panel "overhang" in place, it's hard to see much of it, even with the canopy open.

Thanks Tom and Vance,. Now I'm comfortable with the idea of getting another True Details  #49008 P-38 J Cockpit detail set for use in the P-38 L. Later,                          Bob H.
