More than likely is a re-boxing of an Italeri kit ... maybe they put the wrong kit in the box?
The tail you have appears to be the F.3 type:

Yeah that's unusual, I'm surprised about the tali being the wrong one, that's quite a big mistake on a model.

As you can see....so far...this build has been on the frustrating side. I think Testors should stick to making glue and paint products. Most of the pieces fit horribly, and as you can see they didn't even include the correct tail for the aircraft. Another week or so and I should be done getting it to look decent.
Sup y'all. After a very busy summer of changing jobs and other stuff that took away all my modelling time, I'm back for more. My apologies go out to all the group builds I entered into that I didn't get to build for.
Anyway...at Christmas I received a 1/48 scale Tornado IDS kit made by Testors...apparently it's a Limited Edition kit that was released in small numbers (2000 or 2500 I can't remember right off the bat). I started on it the other night and will post progress pictures, right now I have completed the cockpit assembly and am getting ready to start on the rest. The kit seems like a nice one, I read that it is basically an Italeri re-kit. It came with a ton of decals, and I am going to make it into the Italian paintscheme that is grey and blue.
