Anyone for Beaufort piccies???

I'm not up on Beauforts myself but it seems that The Australian-built examples differed in the engines, props and size of the tail. They may have had different noses as well, but this could be a matter of the variant and not the place of manufacture. I dunno fersher...

Nice pics there, Chris. Looks like Model Master produces a good shade of British interior green afterall. I can almost smell the paint in the top pics.

cheers for the pics. i have a frog beaufort on my "to build" pile. i could do with all the reference i can get as this kit is very basic. btw does anyone happen to have a spare nose glazing for this kit that i could trade something for, or beg or buy from you? or know someplace i could get one from? the nose glazing was missing from mine when i bought it. cheers.

Ok, due to popular demand, here's another pic of the one at Hendra, and also the ones of the one at Oakey. One point to note. The leading edges of the tail assembly are wooden, so if you're weathering a model of one, dont dry brush the leading edges to look like metal showing through worn paintwork. Also note the differences in the noses. I'm not sure, but I seem to remember one was British built and one Australian built, but I couldn't tell you which is which.

On the contrary, they're very useful. And they can be lightened up rather easily.

They've done a nice job with this thing, looks like. I dunno if the seat in the third shot is standard equipment though...
