I'm curious because i want to build one of VA-65 aboard USS Enterprise, and according to my sources, this kit has the decals for it, AT 1/72!!!!! (as seen in the box art!!!) Smile [:)]

Does anyone has build this one, or even better, has the decals from it??? Big Smile [:D]

I'm willing to trade or buy them!!!!! Blush [:I]

Please, anyone??? Sad [:(]

Thanks!!! Cool [8D]

Hi Richard,
This is a rerelease of the old Tsukuda kit. I have that release. It's actually a horrible kit and pales in comparison to the newer 1/72 Hasegawa kits. As for the decals, my release had VNAF decals. HTH

Hobbycraft 1/72 Skyraider from VA-65 with wrong decals????
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 6:45 AM
Well, i've managed to get a decal from this kit (Thanks Paul Murphy and Hellinger Othmar!!!!!), but when put side to side with the 1/48 one, the diference in the colors has left me in a doubt!!!

Were the VA-65 colors mainly red or orange???

Wich are the correct decals???

Does anyone has reference colour pics that could share with me, or let me know which we're they'r correct colors aboard the USS Enterprise???

Many thanks for all the help!!!

Ricardo,
Looks like the internet isn't much help. Only pics I could find of Skyraiders from VA-65 were when they were based on the Midway, completely different markings.
I did see that the A-6's that they flew had orange markings but not sure if they had kept that squadron color from before or not.
