New Photos from the National Museum of the United States Air Force (Updated 7-1-2013)
Updated 7-1-2013: I was pretty unhappy with many of these photos, and only recently found out what I had to do to improve them. Thus they were all reprocessed and the photos on Flickr replaced; the links are updated with the correct images now. And I'm a lot happier!
Hello All,
If Disney World is a child’s happiest place on earth, the National Museum of the USAF is my happiest place on earth! I had the good fortune to visit again last week, and have some new photos to share with you. These represent my best work so far, although there is plenty of room for improvement.
First of all, here is the link to the set on Flickr:
National Museum of the USAF
Here are a couple of photos of Bockscar, the second most famous B–29:
And one of my most favorites, the Fw 190 D–9:
And my other most favorite, the Me 262:
And a couple of the BK–5 50mm cannon installed on at least one Me 262:
Also, the P–40 Warhawk:
And of course, the P–51D:
And one last photo for this post, Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby:
There are many more in the set; please do take a look. My main purpose in posting these is to encourage you to visit the museum - it’s fabulous! The staff are very kind, and the collection is awesome.
Best regards,
Mike
