Verlinden waist gunner

I hate to nit pick, oh, all right then, I love it, but....
In a Brit model magazine (SAMI) there's a Squadron advert for a Verlinden
1/16th waist gunner #VE1878, entitled 'Bandits, 2 O Clock'.
Now, if this is a left waist gunner, he's pointing at ten O Clock, & if he's the
right gunner he's pointing at four O Clock. Have Verlinden gone digital?
Or is it (once again) me?
Incidentally, If things go badly for a pear, what shape does it become?
