Eduard Su-25K

This is my take on the Eduard limited edition release of the OEZ/Kopro Su-25K done up as a Slovak bird from the early Nineties for the Big Russian Jet GB (thanks again for the help and support, guys). I started it in mid-December and finished about a week ago. Phew. There's enough aftermarket stuff on it to choke a horse, but I think it was worth it (the Kh-58s alone took me about two weeks to build).

Speaking of, I know the armament is totally unrealistic (I think only the Su-25KT can carry the Kh-58), but I like a lot of iron hung from my birds, so I threw realism out of the window to satisfy my heavy ordnance jones. :-)

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,

PB

And a final one with a friend....my Russian AF has doubled! :-)

Very nicely done!  Love the subtle way you made it look "used" aswell as the non-mainstream markings.

That's awesome, PB!  That tail decal would have surely ripped in my hands...

There's a lot of little differences between that kit and the Trumpeter 2-seat version... yours looks more accurate in the details than the Trumpy.

Where'd you get those decals anyhow??

Awesome build. I like it a lot. I have the Master Line 1:48 KP Su25 in my stash and it's going to be built after the summer and I hope it looks haft as good as yours....

CNQ- from what I've seen of your work so far, we'll all stand in awe of your finished Sukhoi.

Very nicely. I always love when I see my former aircraft. Only a small specification. Missiles Kh-58 to Su-25K can not be used, and my plane was never even missile-29L Ch. And now the most important thing, it's too dirty. Least once a week, I always wash the engine cowlings. :)

Aha, thanks, Harvy! I couldn't help dirtying it up a bit. :-) Wow, are you or were you a Su-25 pilot? If so, I'm honored by your comments. Yeah, I did some research and determined the Su-25 didn't or couldn't carry the Kh-58. But I had the missiles in my stash, and they just looked too cool not to put on. So you'll have to excuse my "poetic license." :-)

Cheers,

PB
