Chuk, can you start a thread that shows how you build your girls?  I will be particularly interested in the phase right before the clothes are made.  Thanks.

I have the old 1/48 LTD kits in the stash. But this resin kit of Icaerodesign looks much much better. And knowing your skills you a probably make a superb model out of it.

That's a pretty interesting subject, there Chuk.

Howdy Chuck - next great project going on!

The history of the design of that machine is interesting - the Romanians based this aircraft on the rear hull of the Polish P-11 or P-24 fighter that they were importing from Poland before the outbreak of the WWII. But they added a more conventional wing and a bigger engine.

Well good luck with your project and have a nice day

Paweł

That's already starting to look sharp!

I was thinking the young ladies who are your helpers should have a handsome young man (perhaps wearing a sleeveless undershirt or bare-chested) for them to enjoy in between working on your models. After all, they must get lonesome without any male company! Big Smile

Thanks, guys!   Jim, thta's an, um . interesting suggestion- but I think I'll stick to a female crew for  now.  ;)  I've been kept busy what with Christmas and selling my old car and more, but got back to making tiny things and then dropping them on the floor today.  I'll have an update before year's end, for sure!  Merry Christmas and Joyeaux Festivus to all!!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Chuk.  Great start on the IAR.  Your attention to details is

amazing,  Your crew is lovely as usual and I look forward to your next updates.  Happy new year!

Cheers,

Ernie

I appreciate it, Ernie- cheers!

I present my last post for 2013- hooray!   I've really gotten absorbed into the details of the cockpit- such a challenge not only to build, but to learn about all the various sub-systems and widgets.  You'll also note that I've replace my "artistiC' chicken-scratch with actual typography- I hope it suits you.

The lovely Marina will be your guide- cheers- and a happy New Year to one and all!

Speaking of dropping things on the floor, it's been a while since I fed my carpet monster. I'll have to do that later today.Big Smile

That is incredible work. The paint effects and the detail work may be the best I've ever seen.

Oh, one more thing. Where can I find some beautiful assistants like yours?

BEAUTIFUL work Charles!

Watching your builds through the many years I have been keeping my eye on the tools you use. Just bough a modeling saw (needed another one) but not just any saw, the JLC saw I saw Fritzi with!

Question, what is in your tool box? I know some of the stuff you made with different pieces, but would Lili or Margo graciously show us the tools of the master?

Darn, mate......you really do make my best efforts look a little pedestrian.

Love your work, brother.  Artistry.  Just lovely.  Can't wait to see more!

I am running out of superlatives to describe your work, chuk. But be assured that I very much like what I see.

I also bought a JLC saw because of chuk's recommendations. One of the best modeling purchases I've made. Thanks!

Thanks, guys!   I hope to get the IP's installed this weekend.  I have to paint a portrait of my niece for her birthday, though!  ;)   I'm her favorite uncle, after all.

My tool box?   Maybe I'll include a few shots in the next update- but you my find it disappointing.  A jumble of stuff that I can usually find without much fuss is what it is!   Hey- those JLC saws are fragile- but if (and when) you break 'em- keep the bits!  They can be glued into dowels or skewers for mini cutters and scribes- ever so handy.

Again, thanks- and cheers!

Great update, Chuk.  Thanks for the detailed painting narrative for the cockpit.  That will be extremely

helpful information.  I'm enjoying the build and look forward to the next updates.

Cheers,

Ernie

Thanks, Ernie!

I've run through some rough patches on this build- but perseverance pays off.  Not even a vamp like Magda can trip me up!
