I have most of Bob's books and enjoyed reading his stories in the various service publications as they were being published. Thanks for bringing them back around again, Steve-O.

I had thought about that before posting these and finally decided that if someone has a problem with it, they can say so. Worst that can happen is for someone to tell me to stop posting these.

But I figure it this way; I'm not gaining anything by doing this, I'm not making any money. I'm simply sharing this stuff because it needs to be seen and remembered, just like anything else historical. Hell, Bob was a veteran of WWII and this is part of his 'legacy', if you will. I like to try and honor any veteran in any way that I can, and, in part, this is just another way of doing that.

If anyone has any beef with me doing this they can email me...

Steve-O,
I collected his cartoons for years. Have a folder full of them. They are great and I would love to get copies of his books.

I also have several Calvin and Hobbes cartoons of them trying to build models. Boy, can I relate to them.

I have always LOVED these comics! I've always wanted to get every book of them but I never could find them! Man, too bad he's gone. I'd have loved to meet him.

When I was in the Force back in the day, Air Force Magazine and Airman would show up in the squadrons and everybody I knew turned to read Bob's work before anything else. We miss him!

For those of you who remember Bob Stevens, this'll be a trip down memory lane.

For those who haven't been exposed to this late, great man's talents, he was a cartoonist who had at least four books published; each chock-full of hilarity mixed with a bit of sobering stuff. His work appeared in several magazines including AOPA Pilot and AIR FORCE rags.

This fella passed away years ago, but his work and humor is timeless.

I'll try and add to this when I can. For now, here's six bits from AIR FORCE rag...

ENJOY!
